Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people don't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Useful Academic Resources:

The following resources are for students to use to help them review and practice material that they have already covered this year. Most students can access helpful applications using their WakeID account. All students have logged onto WakeID in Social Studies class this year, so they know how to log on.

-Wake county has created a webpage of resources, applications, and tools for students to use to practice skills and review topics already learned this year. Click on the URL to go to the webpage - https://sites.google.com/wcpss.net/instructional-continuity-wcpss

- Click on the "Class Documents" button to the right of the screen. All 8th grade Social Studies work can be found there divided by unit. Feel free to review documents from Units 1-7 (we have already learned about those topics, so you are welcome to review that information).

-Khan Academy (https://www.khanacademy.org/) is a great practice tool for many academic subjects.

-Dreambox is a great application for Math Practice (found on WakeID).
